At 60-feet high and almost 150-feet long, the sandstone and iron ore formation is believed to have formed hundreds of millions of years ago as water, possibly from melting glaciers, stripped the sandstone from the ore. David Denton's parents bought the 150-acre parcel of land in 1980 when they were living in the Midwest, but his mother, who's from Jasper, wanted to retire back in Alabama. Denton's father has passed away and his mom is no longer able to run the place, so the 10 children are selling this Alabama landmark.
