Cloudy, breezy and damp for the remainder of today
A slow moving cold front will gradually push out the remaining rain and usher in cooler weather for Thanksgiving.
WEDNESDAY AND THANKSGIVING
Cooler, drier air settles in for Wednesday and most of Thursday. Temperatures take a dip to the 40s early Wednesday and the 30s early on Thanksgiving Day.
This cooler weather originated over the Pacific Ocean, so it is not extremely 'cold.' It is still cool enough to keep temperatures below average for the rest of the week.

Mid-afternoon Thanksgiving Day:
Some spotty showers develop late Thursday into Friday, with a weak disturbance passing by to the south. Widespread impactful rain is not expected around North and Central Alabama.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK
A slim chance of showers Friday ends fairly early in the day, and the rest of the weekend looks dry and seasonably cool for late November.
Look for chilly mornings in the 40s and cool, dry afternoons in the 50s to lower 60s.
Weather for the Iron Bowl on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium looks good: a high in the low-60s with a partly to mostly cloudy sky and gentle northwest wind.
We do expect some showers to slip into view again by Sunday and Monday.
