The AFC network went down Saturday but is now back up and running, according to AFC.
"As some of you know, our internal website unfortunately went down Saturday afternoon," AFC said in a statement. "We are happy to report the network is now working again, but wildfire numbers and acreage from Saturday and Sunday may not be accurate until all data is recorded. We appreciate the media鈥檚 patience as we have worked through these issues, and we appreciate the public heeding the advisory."

The Alabama Forestry Commission has reports one active wildfire in Butler County. There are 79 other fires across the state. Of those, 69 are contained and 10 are controlled.

The Alabama Forestry Commission has reports on active wildfire in Winston County. There are 139 other fires across the state whch are contained.

The Alabama Forestry Commission has officially taken command of the wildfire response at the 900-acre wildlife preserve in McClellan Forestry The rain has helped improve conditions and at this time, there are no immediate threats to structures.

The Anniston Fire Department is actively responding to a wildfire at the 900-acre wildlife preserve in McClellan Forestry. The fire, currently estimated at 100 acres, is being managed by U.S. Fish and Wildlife, with our crews working to protect nearby structures.

Tuscaloosa Fire & Rescue fighting a structure and forest fire in the Holt area related to lightning. Firefighters say 10-15 acres are involved and the structure is a total loss

Several structures are being protected in Hale County as firefighters continue battling what they say is the worst of several wildfires they've fought today. Firefighters have reported 30'-150' flames on County Road 32.

Crews battling woods fires along Highway 269 in Jefferson County
4:45 p.m.
- Strong winds have caused trees to fall on power lines, igniting a woods fire near U.S. Hwy. 231 and State Road. Oneonta Fire & Rescue Service is actively working to contain the blaze and prevent further spread. City officials advise avoiding the curve at 231 N and State Road if possible.
- Cedar Grove units along with multiple other county departments are operating on multiple wildfires throughout Chilton County.
4:21 p.m.
- In the last four hours, Helena Fire has responded to 3 brush fires and a motor vehicle accident. Mostly along south shares crest and 13.
- Multiple fires throughout Marion County from lighting and down power lines
- Hamilton has had two grass fires started by lightning at 2548 Bexar Ave E and 3040 County Hwy 42
- Multiple power lines down causing fires in Vernon and Molloy.

AFC reports six active fires. They are in Bibb, Butler, Choctaw, Hale, Talladega and Tuscaloosa counties. 173 others across the state are contained, and two in Marion and Wilcox counties are controlled.

AFC reports four active fires. They are in Bibb, Butler, Tuscaloosa and Cleburne counties. 173 others across the state are contained, and two in Marion and Wilcox counties are controlled.

AFC reports 177 fires across the state. Two are active in in Randolph and Cleburne counties, 174 are contained, and one is controlled in Marion County.
Monday, March 3
4 p.m.
As of 4:00 pm Monday, 41 fires have been reported.
1:35 p.m.
There have been 12 fires reported Monday.
"We are definitely hoping for relief with the rain Tuesday night," AFC said in a statement. "However, ahead of that system, relative humidities remain low and gusty winds will result in erratic fire behavior. Burning should be out of the question!"
1:30 p.m.
From the Center Point Fire Chief:
"In the Center Point Fire District we currently have no active brush fires to report. The fire that started on Saturday off Goodwin Road (Pinson area) is 100% contained. It consumed a total of over 150 acres over the two-day weekend. The Alabama Forestry Commission assisted us with cutting a fire break on Saturday. On Sunday the fire jumped the original break and consumed an additional 25 acres. A secondary break was established, and the fire has stayed contained so far. There are a few hot spots that we are continuing to monitor over the next couple of days. Hopefully the rain will come through tomorrow and extinguish any remaining hot spots."

Alabama Forestry Commission said its network is down and it cannot provide wildfire updates on the number of wildfires or acreage.

AFC didn't have a specific number of fires reported on Sunday because of the network outage, but said it was less than Saturday.
Fires were reported in Shelby and Cullman counties.
Crews continued to work the Pinson wildfire.
Saturday, March 1
Saturday, AFC firefighters responded to at least 96 wildfires. Yesterday, there were fewer fires. As of 5 p.m. today, 134 fires had been reported.
"Just right under half of the fires have been permitted burns that have gotten away from the burner," Butler said.
2:16 p.m.
A fire was reported in the Pinson area. It was contained, according to AFC, but the fire jumped lines.
2 p.m.
A fire was reported in Dora.
Irwin and Dorothy Burgess in Dora feel responsible for starting one of those fires after their truck got stuck in a field.
It鈥檚 unclear if the fire caused damage to their neighbor鈥檚 house. Even though it was an accident, they said they still can鈥檛 shake the feeling of guilt.
鈥淲e were out there checking the pastures, and we got stuck and started spinning the tires,鈥� James Irwin said. 鈥淣ext thing you know, we got flames. I got out and started dumping water out of the pond onto the flames, and it just got to where we couldn鈥檛 control it.鈥�
9 a.m.
A fire was reported in the Quinton area, near the Walker County line.
The AFC said that fire grew to at least 100 acres in size, and forestry workers were able to contain it.
