Auburn baseball's 'CEO': Sara Elizabeth Jackson's role goes beyond the title
If you want to know what makes Auburn baseball work, this would be *** zoo. Love you. You have to know. Liz Sliz AKA Sarah Elizabeth Jackson. So we'll do this. The Tigers's special assistant to the head coach. Other duties as assigned is how I, how I would describe my role. Team travel, meals, you name it, Sarah Elizabeth handles it. This is the non-exciting part. But the essential part. She's what head coach Butch Thompson calls our CEO, our chief energy officer. It's *** role that just fell into place. I obviously had *** love of baseball, but I was not, it wasn't something that I was like, I'm going to turn this into. You know what I do. She started out as *** member of Diamond Dolls, then worked in the baseball office as *** senior. After that, she asked, would you guys need help? Would you want office help? Would you want things like that? Um, and they were like, yeah, sure, come on. Coach Thompson was like, Sure, kid, let's go. I just got *** sense and *** feel of like, man, she's got it, she has something special. And that she can absolutely make *** difference. That's what she's done ever since. Look at our boys are just walking around. Basically be *** face of our program externally for our stakeholders for our fans, uh, but then also the difference she tries to make uh for our players. My dog. Giving Auburn what it gave her. This is probably the the happiest I've ever been in my life. *** family. Auburn is an Auburn without slizs. Love you. The people that you meet through this program has been awesome, um, whether that's like our administration, whether that's our coaches, our families, our players, their families, things like that that's kind of been the best part for me.
