HOW ARE THEY TRYING TO DO ALL OF THIS BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR STARTS. WELL, GLADYS, LISTEN, I GOT TO DO WHAT I GOT TO DO BECAUSE THAT鈥橲 US OFFICIALS SAY THEY ARE RECRUITING AS MUCH AS THEY CAN. THEY鈥橰E EVEN TAKING WALK INS RIGHT NOW. FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO BECOME A BUS DRIVER NOW FILLING THESE POSITIONS ARE IMPORTANT BECAUSE SCS IS CURRENTLY PROVIDING BUS DRIVERS TO SEVERAL SCHOOL SYSTEMS, INCLUDING BIRMINGHAM CITY SCHOOLS. MAGIC CITY ACADEMY, TARYN AND MORE DIRECTOR OF WALTER TURNER SAYS THEY ARE READY TO FILL THESE POSITIONS SO THEY CAN SERVE THESE SCHOOLS. WE WANT TO BEAT THE KNEE OF THE CONTRACTS THAT WE HAVE. WE HAVE TO IN ORDER FOR FOR US TO PICK UP THE KIDS, WE HAVE TO HAVE A DRIVER BEHIND THAT WHEEL. AND OF COURSE, THEY ARE LOOKING FOR DRIVERS WITH CLEAN RECORDS AS WELL AS THOSE THAT ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CDL LICENSE IN

Finding bus drivers has been a tough task for many school systems in central Alabama.School Transportation Systems is looking to hire several people right now ahead of the school year. Officials said they're taking walk-ins for those who want to become a bus driver.Filling these positions is important because STS is currently providing bus drivers to several school systems, including Birmingham City Schools, Magic City Academy, Tarrent and others. Director of STS Walter Turner said they want to meet this need they are facing right now.鈥淲e want to beat the need for the contract that we have. In order for us to pick up the kids, we have to get a driver behind those wheels.
