The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has just taken a major step toward giving Carnival Cruise Line permission to start cruising again.It's one of the formalities that's needed before cruising starts again, and involves the CDC's acceptance of an agreement for Carnival to use Port Canaveral's facilities. The cruise line must complete a test cruise before it can carry paying passengers.There is still no date for the test cruise or a regular cruise.The test cruise could happen around the end of June, or beginning of July.Port Canaveral's CEO calls this "exciting news," adding, "A tremendous amount of effort went into these agreements, and the first step in getting the cruise industry up and running once again."
