This is not the end of Doge but really the beginning. Um, my time as *** special government employee necessarily had to end. It was *** limited time thing. It's 134 days I believe, which ends in *** few days. So, uh, so that, uh, you know, it comes with *** time limit, um. And uh but the Doge team will only grow stronger over time. The Doge influence will only grow stronger. It's uh I liken it to *** sort of bosom of Buddhism. It's like *** way of life, so it is permeating throughout the government, and I'm confident that over time we'll see $1 trillion of savings and *** reduction in $1 trillion of waste and fraud reduction.

Elon Musk sported a noticeable black eye Friday at the Oval Office press conference announcing his exit from the Trump administration. Musk is leaving his position spearheading the Department of Government Efficiency, and he'll be rededicating himself to running his businesses, including electric automaker Tesla, rocket company SpaceX and social media platform X.President Donald Trump credited Musk with 鈥渁 colossal change in the old ways of doing business in Washington" and said some of his staff would remain in the administration. Musk, who wore all black, including a T-shirt that said 鈥淭he Dogefather,鈥� nodded along as the president listed contracts that had been cut under his watch.鈥淚 think the DOGE team is doing an incredible job," Musk said after accepting a ceremonial key from the president. "They're going to continue to be doing an incredible job.鈥滵uring the press conference, Reporters noticed a mark on Musk's right eye, though.
