Game of the Week: Hewitt-Trussville trounces Pinson Valley 59-7
Hewitt-Trussville kept the ball rolling on a winning season Friday night with a whopping, 59-7 win over the Pinson Valley Indians.
"I thought our guys came out here, took care of business," said Huskies head coach Josh Floyd.
The loss marked the third in a row for Pinson Valley who faces off against Mountain Brook High School on October 11.
The Huskies face off against Thompson next week.
Before the Game
Friday morning, the Huskies marching band and cheerleaders appeared on 米兰体育 13 to show how they are preparing for the big game.
This will be the first game for Hewitt-Trussville's marching band to feature its full halftime show. This season's show is called "Machine Awakens" and features a variety of traditional and contemporary pieces.
"The theme is really great because it shows all the music that we鈥檙e playing," senior saxophonist Echo Burroughs explained. "We鈥檙e playing these wonderful futuristic beats by Tron, and we have these old-school beats by 'Cowboy Bebop,' that show. And then we have 'What Was I Made For' by Billie Eilish. And then we have 'Invention 13' by Bach."
The Hewitt-Trussville cheerleaders have been working hard preparing for football games and their upcoming competition season. The team saw a lot of success last year, and they're hoping to continue that success this year.
"We placed top 10 at nationals last year, and we're very excited to go back to nationals and hopefully bring home the gold this year," said Amadora Gentile, one of the captains of the Hewitt-Trussville cheer squad.
