PRETTY SOON, ANOTHER ONE OF HIS BOOKS WILL HIT STORE SHELVES. WALKING INTO, LIKE, SOME OF THE SAME BOOKSTORES THAT I USED TO GO TO AND DREAM AND WISH. ONE DAY MY BOOKS WOULD BE THERE. AND LIKE, NOW THEY鈥橰E ON THE SHELVES AND NOW I鈥橫 GOING TO HAVE LIKE, TWO OF THEM. BONES AT THE CROSSROADS IS THE SEQUEL IN THIS MAGICAL HBCU EXPERIENCE. HE SAYS LITERATURE OFFERED HIM THE ABILITY TO FALL INTO DIFFERENT WORLDS. I鈥橵E ALWAYS BEEN VERY FASCINATED WITH WORDS ON THE PAGE AND LIKE HOW IT CAN RELATE TO MY LIFE. PROVIDING STUDENTS WITH STORIES THEY CAN RELATE TO CAN ALSO HELP BUILD LITERACY SKILLS, BUT ALSO SHOWING THEM HOW TO BUILD A STORY CAN PROVOKE THE IMAGINATION OF WHAT READING OFFERS. INTRODUCING THEM TO DIFFERENT STORIES, LITERALLY FOR THEM. I REMEMBER SPEAKING TO A SCHOOL. IT WAS A PRIVATE SCHOOL IN SAINT LOUIS, AND THEY THEY WERE HAVING GRAPHIC NOVEL WRITING. CLASSES LIKE TO TEACH THEM TO WRITE GRAPHIC NOVELS, AND THEY WERE BEING EXPOSED TO THAT WHILE HIS WORK STANDS IN THE PRINTED FORM, HE鈥橲 ALSO WORKING TO PITCH THE IDEA AS A TV SERIES. It's been a little over a year since LaDarrion released his first book, Blood at the Root. The magical-themed fiction novel made it to the New York Times Best-Sellers List. However, the sequel to the well-liked young adult novel is set to be released July 29. "Bones at the Crossroads" continues to follow the main character, Malik, on his journey at a historically Black college and university, learning more about his magical ancestral lineage and building community.>> YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD: Community coverage from 米兰体育 13米兰体育 13 learned Monday evening, this is a trilogy. He's currently writing the third installment of the series."I wrote the first draft of 'Bones at the Crossroad' December 2023, going into 2024," Williams said.Williams is a proud 2011 graduate of Thompson High School in Alabaster. His passion for literacy and creation is something he hopes to continue for a long time to come. "Walking into some of the same bookstores that I used to go to and dream and wish one day my books will be there. He says some are also calling on him to bring the series to television."We鈥檙e in the process of developing it; it takes a while, you have to assemble the right team," Williams said. "I have a wonderful production company, some wonderful writers that I鈥檓 working with and we're collaborating to make this a TV show that's really going to change the landscape."
