Hewitt-Trussville looks to keep playing 'complete football' as playoffs begin
The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies are clicking at the right time.
Hewitt-Trussville capped an 8-2 regular season with two straight shutout victories, showing just what makes this defense that held teams to 8.7 points a night so good. The offense isn't too shabby either averaging 38.4 points a game.
Now, the Huskies prepare for the postseason, a first-round matchup against Baker. Last year, Hewitt-Trussville reached the semifinals. The team looks to go further this year. Head coach Josh Floyd says this team is different from a year ago, and he likes the way they're playing right now.

"Last year, really, cause we've had a young team, so I think you've been able to see them grow throughout the year, and I think the way we've played the last few weeks has been really, really good for our kids. I think we've been playing complete football and I couldn't really say that earlier in the year probably, but I think we've played really good complimentary football the last few weeks," Floyd said.
Hewitt-Trussville is set to face Baker in the first round of the playoffs on Nov. 8.
