Several people are without a home after a fire spread through an apartment complex in Chalkville Tuesday morning.

It happened around 9 a.m. at the Chalkville Landing Apartments on Trafalgar Square and Old Springville Road.

Crews work to put out apartment fire
Center Point Fire District

When crews from Center Point Fire District arrived they saw heavy fire coming from two apartments. That spread into the attic and two more apartments.

It took about 45 minutes to put out the fire with aid from Trussville Fire Department.
