THE NUMBER OF FLU CASES CONTINUES TO RISE. WELL, SEVERAL LAWSUITS AGAINST THE STATE REGULATORY COMMISSION ARE CAUSING A JUDGE TO TEMPORARILY BLOCK ISSUING MEDICAL MARIJUANA LICENSES. IT鈥橲 JUST THE LATEST ROADBLOCK IN THE STATE鈥橲 EFFORT TO LAUNCH THE PROGRAM. WILL SOMERVILLE IS THE ATTORNEY BEHIND ONE OF THOSE LAWSUITS. HE REPRESENTS ALABAMA, ALWAYS A MONTGOMERY FACILITY REQUESTING AN INTEGRATED LICENSE TO GROW, PROCESS AND DISTRIBUTE MEDICAL CANNABIS. HE SAYS THAT THE ALABAMA MEDICAL CANNABIS COMMISSION ISN鈥橳 FOLLOWING ITS OWN GUIDELINES AND NEEDS TO BE MORE TRANSPARENT. BUT RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHY. SO AND SO WAS CHOSEN FOR A LICENSE AND THIS OTHER PERSON WASN鈥橳. WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CRITERIA THE THE COMMISSIONERS USED IN AWARDING THE LICENSES. THERE WAS NO DEBATE IN ANY OF THESE THREE VOTES THAT THEY鈥橵E TAKEN. THE ONE IN JUNE, THE ONE IN AUGUST, THE ONE IN DECEMBER.
