Macy's has been an anchor store at the Galleria since the 1980s, but according to the Real Estate Partners Birmingham website, the spot Macy's occupies is up for sale. The former general manager of Riverchase Galleria says the popular anchor store is leaving in 2025."I know Macy's is going to be leaving Riverchase Galleria," Mike White noted.When 米兰体育 13 spoke with current Galleria General Manager, Tommy Richardson, he noted that Macy's is a strong draw for shoppers. When 米兰体育 13 asked Riverchase Galleria about Macy's being for sale, they said they can't speak on behalf of their tenants. Macy's sent us a statement that reads: "Our new strategy is designed to create a more modern Macy鈥檚, Inc. and enhance the customer experience. We intend to close approximately 150 Macy鈥檚 stores while further investing in our 350 go-forward fleet over the next three years. A final decision on specific locations has yet to be made."
