Former Navy SEAL enters race to replace US Sen. Tommy Tuberville in Alabama

Former Navy SEAL enters race to replace US Sen. Tommy Tuberville in Alabama
WELL, A LOT OF FOLKS WISHING THEY WERE IN HAWAII THIS MORNING AND SAID, WE鈥橵E GOT KIND OF A DREARY FORECAST, BUT IT鈥橲 NOT GOING TO LAST ALL DAY. BUT TO GET YOU OUT THE DOOR THIS MORNING, THERE IS LIGHT RAIN. AND THAT COVERS MUCH OF THE AREA. YOU CAN SEE HERE FROM OUR FIRST WARNING LIVE RADAR. THESE ARE JUST GENERAL LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS. THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER, BUT ENOUGH RAIN OUT THERE THAT IT DOES MEAN A WET COMMUTE TO GET YOU STARTED THIS MORNING. SO FOR OUR RAIN CHANCES TODAY, PRETTY WIDESPREAD ALREADY EARLY THIS MORNING. IT鈥橲 GOING TO STAY THAT WAY OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS. BY LUNCHTIME, RAIN COVERAGE BECOMES A BIT MORE SCATTERED. THAT MEANS WE GET MORE SPACE IN BETWEEN THOSE STORMS. AND THEN AS WE LOOK TOWARDS THE SECOND HALF OF THE DAY, AFTER ABOUT TWO, 3:00 PM, WE ARE TRENDING DRIER. SO IF YOU鈥橰E TRYING TO BE OUTDOORS, I鈥橠 SAY AFTER TWO 3:00 IS GOING TO BE YOUR BEST BET TO FIND SOME DRY TIME. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE OF A STRONG STORM TODAY, REALLY. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER CONTINUING THAT MARGINAL RISK. IT SEEMS LIKE WE鈥橵E HAD ONE OF THESE ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR AT LEAST THE LAST WEEK. IF A STORM COULD BECOME STRONG TODAY, MAIN THREATS WOULD BE GUSTY WINDS OR SOME SMALL HAIL. IN ADDITION TO THAT, WE鈥橪L BE WATCHING FOR HEAVY RAINFALL. SO MOVING THE FIRST WARNING FUTURE TRACK FORWARD. I鈥橫 GOING TO STOP THE CLOCK HERE. 9 A.M. WE鈥橵E GOT SOME SCATTERED RAIN STILL WITH US, SOME RUMBLES OF THUNDER FROM TIME TO TIME AT LUNCHTIME, YOU SEE THERE BECOMES MORE SPACE IN BETWEEN THESE STORMS. SO MORE LOCATIONS GETTING A CHANCE TO DRY OUT. BUT WHERE THOSE STORMS ARE SHOWING UP ON THE RADAR AT THAT POINT, A FEW OF THEM COULD BRIEFLY TURN STRONG. AND THEN BY ABOUT TWO 3:00 YOU SEE IT HERE. WE START TO DRY OUT A BIT. THOSE CLOUDS BREAK APART. THAT ALLOWS OUR TEMPERATURES TO CLIMB INTO THE 70S THIS AFTERNOON, AND WE ARE LOOKING DRY THROUGH DINNERTIME AND INTO THE LATER PART OF THIS EVENING. TOMORROW WE鈥橵E GOT A FRONT MOVING IN, AND THAT IS GOING TO MEAN SCATTERED STORMS POSSIBLE, ESPECIALLY THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY. BUT BEHIND THAT FRONT, WE WILL EVENTUALLY BE TRENDING DRIER. IT IS WORTH NOTING, AS WE MOVE TOWARDS THE AFTERNOON, RIGHT ALONG THAT FRONT, THERE鈥橲 A LOW CHANCE THAT A STORM OR TWO COULD BRIEFLY TURN STRONG. THAT WOULD BE KIND OF CLOSER TO THE I-85 CORRIDOR. SO WATCHING THAT LOW, SEVERE THREAT, SAY, FROM ANNISTON TO CLANTON SOUTHWARD DURING THE AFTERNOON TOMORROW. BUT ONCE THE FRONT MOVES THROUGH, WE鈥橰E LOOKING REALLY GOOD FOR THE WEEKEND. IN FACT, WE GET SOME LOWER HUMIDITY AS THAT DRIER AIR MOVES IN. THAT ALLOWS OUR MORNING LOWS TO DROP INTO THE 50S SATURDAY MORNING. THAT鈥橲 GOING TO FEEL REALLY GOOD. AND THEN BY THE AFTERNOON WE END UP NEAR 80 DEGREES. BUT BECAUSE OF THE LOWER HUMIDITY, THAT FEELS REALLY COMFORTABLE. AND WE鈥橰E ALSO KIND OF BREAKING THIS STORMY PATTERN THAT WE鈥橵E BEEN STUCK IN OVER AT LEAST THE LAST WEEK OR SO. YOU SEE A LOT OF SUNSHINE ICONS IN THE FORECAST MOVING FORWARD FROM THIS WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK, BUT TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO BE ON T
