An important step was made Wednesday to bring a new attraction to the Birmingham community.The Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex Board awarded a $46 million bid to Stone Building LLC to build a new amphitheater north of Protective Stadium.鈥淭his is a critical milestone for this project,鈥� said Tad Snider, the CEO of the BJCC. 鈥淲e are excited to work with Stone Building as we witness the transformation and unveiling of the amphitheater, adding a new attraction to benefit our community."The amphitheater will be owned by the BJCC and operated by Live Nation.鈥淭his will round out the venues available at the BJCC, and it will complement the other investments that have been made in our facilities and in north Birmingham,鈥� Snider said. 鈥淭he amphitheater will benefit our local residents, but it will also bring people to Birmingham who will stay in our hotels, eat in our restaurants and shop in our stores.鈥� The projected opening date is set for June 2025.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from 米兰体育 13
