Randy Moss steps away from ESPN due to health concerns
NFL legend Randy Moss is set to take some time away from his punditry work on ESPN, the network announced on Friday, due to an unknown health issue.In a statement on X, ESPN said the former wide receiver would step away from his role on 鈥楽unday NFL Countdown鈥� for an 鈥渆xtended time鈥� in order 鈥渢o focus on a personal health challenge.鈥濃淔or nearly a decade, Randy has been an invaluable member of the team, consistently elevating 鈥楥ountdown鈥� with his insight and passion,鈥� the network said in its statement.鈥淗e has ESPN鈥檚 full support, and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready.鈥漁n Sunday, Moss had posted two videos on Instagram to explain why he wore tinted sunglasses during television appearances in recent weeks.He then addressed the issue at the top of ESPN鈥檚 coverage of 鈥楽unday NFL Countdown鈥�.鈥淚 just wanted to share something with you all,鈥� the 47-year-old said.鈥淚 put a post up maybe a few minutes ago on Instagram just telling people 鈥� you were talking about my eyes last week 鈥� and I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally.鈥淚 have some great doctors around me.
