UA brings back vintage logo on Alabama license plates
The classic Vault A Alabama logo has made its return to the Alabama License plate! The Vault A Logo, featuring Big Al stepping through a large crimson "A," was first introduced at UA in 1973 and served as the university's primary logo for 25 years before being retired in 1998. It has recently gained popularity amongst students and alumni for its old-school feel. The new tag embraces tradition and offers a new way to showcase school spirit. Purchases of these new plates goes towards funding for undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Current UA tag holders can renew starting June 1, and the tags will be available at local county license offices starting June 2. Roll Tide!
