A graduate student at the University of Alabama is being detained by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE).Alireza Doroudi, a mechanical engineering doctoral student from Iran, was moved from the Pickens County Jail to the Jena/LaSalle Detention Facility in Louisiana. 鈥淚CE HSI made this arrest in accordance with the State Department鈥檚 revocation of Doroudi鈥檚 student visa.
