Victim of suspected serial rapist testifies against him
A jury heard one of five victims testify against suspect serial rapist Jonathan 'Master' Lockett on Tuesday.
He鈥檚 facing a dozen charges, eight of which are sex crimes that include rape, sodomy, and sexual torture.
The case鈥檚 first victim was the second witness to testify today.
She claims she contacted Lockett online, looking to make some extra money to pay for her lupus medication.
However, when she showed up, she testified he stole her gun and forced her to perform oral sex on him at gun point.
鈥淪o, in my head, I just didn鈥檛 want him to kill me, knowing he had my gun,鈥 the victim said.
Prosecutors claim Lockett used that same gun to sodomize a different victim and force others to perform sex acts on him.
鈥淭hey pleaded for their lives, but it fell on deaf ears," prosecutor Isabello Colombo argued in her opening statement to the jury.
Defense attorney Jason Wollitz portrayed Lockett as more as a cash or drug supplier to these victims.
He claimed Lockett was trading money and narcotics for sex with the five victims he classified as addicts or prostitutes.
鈥淭hese cases are about women who knew perfectly well what they were getting into,鈥 Wollitz said.
Testimony in Lockett鈥檚 case should last the rest of the week.
