NEARBY COMING UP IN THE FORECAST. CHARI AND GAI. ALL RIGHT, JASON, THANKS SO MUCH. WELL, TONIGHT A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER IS PICKING UP THE PIECES OF HIS BRAND NEW RESTAURANT AFTER IT WENT UP IN FLAMES OVER THE WEEKEND. 米兰体育 13 BRYCE JOSLIN SPENT TODAY COMBING THROUGH WHAT鈥橲 LEFT OF THE BLUE EYED EATERY. HE鈥橲 LIVE AND LOCAL IN LINCOLN. THE OWNERS OF THE RESTAURANT MUST BE DEVASTATED. BRYCE. YEAH. GUY CHARI, THE OWNER, TELLS ME HE JUST OPENED THE RESTAURANT FIVE WEEKS AGO, AND HE鈥橲 FEELING LOST ABOUT WHERE TO GO FROM HERE. WELL, YOU KNOW, WE鈥橵E BEEN TOLD EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. I鈥橫 CURIOUS TO FIND OUT WHAT THIS ONE IS. FLAMES DESTROYED THE BLUE EYED EATERY IN LINCOLN. WHEN WE FIRST GOT HERE, IT ACTUALLY DIDN鈥橳 LOOK THAT BAD. BUT THEN, APPARENTLY, THE FIRE WAS GOT INTO THE CEILING AND THE RAFTERS. MORE THAN FIVE FIRE CREWS RESPONDED TO THE CALL JUST AFTER 10 P.M. IT WAS JUST COMING TOGETHER FOR US, AND I DON鈥橳 KNOW WHAT WE鈥橰E GOING TO DO NEXT. I REALLY DON鈥橳. LAUREN PETERS AND HIS WIFE OPENED THE RESTAURANT JUST FIVE WEEKS AGO, BUT NOW THEY鈥橰E CLEANING THE DEBRIS FROM WHAT USED TO BE THE KITCHEN WAS COMING TOGETHER. WE WERE GETTING THE DOCK REPAIRED. SO, YOU KNOW, TO GET READY FOR LAKE SEASON. AND, YOU KNOW, THE BIG BURST OF BUSINESS. OF COURSE, THAT COMES WITH LAKE SEASON. AND WE WERE WE WERE JUST ABOUT READY FOR THAT. IT鈥橲 BEEN A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS, BUT WE ATE THERE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD. WE WERE EXCITED ABOUT IT. A PLACE TO WHERE WE COULD JUST WALK AND EAT AND HAVE A COUPLE OF DRINKS. DAVID DILLARD LIVES RIGHT NEXT DOOR AND SAYS HE WORRIED HIS HOME WOULD CATCH FIRE AS WELL. LINCOLN FIRE DEPARTMENT DID A REALLY GOOD JOB OF KEEPING THE FIRE CONTAINED AND PUSHED THAT WAY, SO IT DIDN鈥橳 COME TOWARDS OUR PROPERTY. AS FOR PETERS, HE AND HIS WIFE HOPE TO REOPEN PENDING INFORMATION FROM FIRE EXPERTS. WE鈥橪L HAVE TO SEE WHAT OUR OPTIONS ARE AND SEE WHAT YOU KNOW, WHAT THE FIRE MARSHAL HAS TO SAY. AND, YOU KNOW, KIND OF SEE WHAT OUR OPTIONS ARE IN TERMS OF REBUILDING OR, YOU KNOW, WHAT THE THE BUILDING OWNER WANTS TO DO IS. AT THIS TIME. FIRE CREWS ARE UNCERTAIN AS TO WHAT EXACTLY CAUSED THIS FIRE. LIVE IN LINCOLN.
