WE鈥橰E STARTING WITH A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT RAIN THIS SUNDAY MORNING SCATTERED BETWEEN SHELBY CHILTON COUNTIES OVER TOWARDS CENTERVILLE, TUSCALOOSA THE HEAVIEST RAIN NOW IN PICKENS COUNTY, WEST ALABAMA BETWEEN REFORM CARROLLTON ALICEVILLE. WE鈥橵E ACTUALLY GOT A LITTLE BIT OF THUNDER TOO, MOVING IN FROM MISSISSIPPI. AND IT鈥橲 GOING TO BE MORE OF THIS THROUGH THE REST OF SUNDAY. PERIODS OF RAIN, A LITTLE BIT MORE HEAVY AT TIMES, AND A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER ARE POSSIBLE, BUT YOU鈥橪L SEE THAT WE鈥橰E PRETTY STABLE AT THE SURFACE. TEMPERATURES ARE MUCH COOLER TO THE NORTH. IT鈥橲 45 IN COLEMAN, 48 JASPER 51 BIRMINGHAM 53. IN TUSCALOOSA, THE GREATER INSTABILITY IS DOWN SOUTH ALONG THE COAST, WHERE THEY鈥橵E HAD SOME HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING. BUT FOR US TODAY, IT鈥橲 MAINLY JUST GOING TO BE PASSING SHOWERS. AND AGAIN, A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER ARE POSSIBLE, BUT WE鈥橰E NOT EXPECTING ANYTHING SEVERE, DAMP AND COOL THROUGH YOUR SUNDAY, I WOULD GRAB THE UMBRELLA. PERHAPS IF YOU鈥橰E HEADING OUT OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS AND THEN EVEN THIS AFTERNOON. IT鈥橲 WORTH NOTING THE SUN SETS AT 650. NOW THAT WE ARE OBSERVING DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME AGAIN, LET ME WALK YOU THROUGH THE FUTURECAST. THIS IS 11:00, THIS MODEL PICKING UP ON A LITTLE BIT MORE HEAVY RAIN, PERHAPS SOME THUNDER AND LIGHTNING MOVING INTO GREEN PERRY, TUSCALOOSA, BIBB COUNTIES, AND THEN THROUGH THE AFTERNOON, YOU鈥橪L NOTICE MORE SCATTERED SHOWERS, MODERATE AT TIMES. AGAIN, CAN鈥橳 RULE OUT SOME RUMBLES OF THUNDER. IT鈥橲 NOT RAINING HEAVILY EVERYWHERE, BUT YOU鈥橪L NOTICE PRETTY GOOD SPREAD OF COVERAGE. 7:00 PM THIS EVENING ABOUT DINNERTIME. MORE SCATTERED RAIN. THE BEST CHANCE FOR WIDESPREAD RAIN WILL COME IN LATER TONIGHT AS THIS SYSTEM IS MOVING CLOSER AND WE鈥橵E ACTUALLY GOT THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM SITTING OVER US. 11 P.M. TONIGHT. WIDESPREAD RAIN. NOTICE IT鈥橲 HEAVIEST SOUTH OF BIRMINGHAM AND EVEN THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING WE鈥橰E GOING TO KEEP SOME SHOWERS, PERHAPS SOME RUMBLES OF THUNDER. 6 A.M. FOR COMMUTE TIME. THERE WILL BE SOME WET SPOTS. THE ROADS WILL BE DAMP, OF COURSE, BUT I THINK ANY HEAVY RAIN IS DOWN TO OUR SOUTH AND THEN BY SEVEN EIGHT INTO MID-MORNING THIS IS MOVING AWAY. CLOUDS WILL SLOWLY CLEAR BEHIND THIS TOO. AND SO THE FIRST HALF OF MONDAY DOES BEGIN WET. BUT BY THE AFTERNOON WE鈥橰E DRYING OUT. CHILLY TODAY IN THE 50S WILL REACH THE 60S TOMORROW, AND THEN BY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY WE鈥橰E WARMING UP INTO THE MID 70S. SO SOME PLEASANT SPRING LIKE WEATHER AHEAD THROUGH THE NEW WEEK. I DO WANT TO LOOK AHEAD TO NEXT SATURDAY. THIS IS SEVEN DAYS AWAY, BUT WE鈥橵E BEEN WATCHING A STORM SYSTEM THAT LOOKS TO TAKE SHAPE AND ACTUALLY BRING A RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER DOWN THE ROAD, SO YOU CAN SEE THE INSTABILITY IS HEIGHTENED TO THE WEST. THIS IS SATURDAY MORNING. WE鈥橪L HAVE TO WATCH THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND SATURDAY NIGHT. AND THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ALREADY HIGHLIGHTED US UNDER A SLIGHT RISK. AGAIN, THIS IS NEXT SATURDAY.
