AT THAT MASTER HEARING EARLIER THIS MONTH, RUDY REQUESTED TO BE SENT BACK TO HIS HOME COUNTRY, SAYING, I LOVE THIS COUNTRY, BUT THEY DON鈥橳 WANT ME HERE, SO I WILL GO HOME. THAT HEARING WAS 21 DAYS AGO AND RUDY IS STILL IN ICE CUSTODY AT A DETENTION CENTER IN LOUISIANA. RIGHT NOW. HE鈥橲 WAITING FOR THE VOLUNTARY DEPORTATION PROCESS TO BEGIN. In his master hearing earlier this month, Alireza Doroudi, the University of Alabama graduate student detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stated he'd like to return to Iran. Three weeks later, that process may be about to begin.During the hearing on May 9, Doroudi said, 鈥淚 love this country, but they don鈥檛 want me here so I will go home.鈥漈wenty-one days after making that statement, Doroudi is still being held in the Jena/LaSalle Detention Facility in Louisiana. A spokesperson for his attorney tells 米兰体育 13 that Doroudi could be moved from the facility as early as this weekend to begin the voluntary deportation process.
