LATEST UPDATES. WELL, BACK HERE IN CENTRAL ALABAMA, MANY SPENT THE DAY CLEANING UP DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE STORMS EARLIER THIS MORNING. AREAS LIKE HUEYTOWN AND MCCULLOUGH SEEING WIDESPREAD DAMAGE. 米兰体育 13 ERIN LLEWELLYN VISITED THESE NEIGHBORHOODS FOR A CLOSER LOOK AT WHAT RESIDENTS ARE SEEING. HAIL, RAIN AND WINDS RIPPED ACROSS CENTRAL ALABAMA SUNDAY MORNING, LEAVING BEHIND DOWNED TREES. WHEN THE ALARM WENT OFF, I GOT UP AND WENT TO THE WINDOW JUST IN TIME TO SEE THESE TWO BIG TREES FALL OVER IN SLOW MOTION. DEBBIE HORNSBY LIVES IN THIS HUEYTOWN NEIGHBORHOOD. SHE SAYS SHE AND HER NEIGHBORS HAD 20 TREES FALL DURING THE SEVERE WEATHER. MOST EVERYBODY AROUND THE LAKES ARE RELATIVES, AND WE WE ALL KIND OF CHIPPED IN TODAY AND HAVE BEEN WORKING MOSTLY ALL DAY TRYING TO GET IT SQUARED AWAY JUST A FEW MILES AWAY. CLEANUP EFFORTS IN MCCALLA. AFTER THIS TREE FELL ON DORIAN鈥橲 HOUSE. GLASS FELL DOWN. THE RAIN POURED IN. THE TREE CAME THROUGH THE SKYLIGHT AND THROUGH OUR BATHROOM AND OTHER PLACES IN OUR BEDROOM. ALL WHILE SHE AND HER HUSBAND, LEONARD WERE SLEEPING IN BED. MY HUSBAND SAID, GO RIGHT NOW. LEAVE BEFORE THE WALLS FALLING. FOR HORNSBY AND HER FAMILY, THE TREES WERE ROOTED IN SENTIMENTAL VALUE. MEMORIES THEY鈥橪L SHARE FOR YEARS TO COME. PROBABLY JUST. WE鈥橪L JUST GO WITH THE PICNICS AND THE GOOD STUFF, BECAUSE IT鈥橲 BEEN A LOT OF OF THINGS THAT HAVE GONE ON OVER THE YEARS. THAT鈥橲 JUST BEEN WONDERFUL. AND KIDS GROWING UP, ALL THE KIDS AND ALL THE KIDS AND ALL THE GRANDKIDS COME. IT鈥橲 JUST THE FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. WHILE RACHEL IS HAPPY HER AND HER HUSBAND MADE IT OUT ALIVE. WE鈥橰E VERY THANKFUL TOO, BECAUSE WE COULD HAVE BEEN HURT, INJURED BADLY IF ONE OF THE TREE LIMBS HAD HIT US IN JEFFERSON COUNTY.

My husband said, 鈥楪o right now. Leave before the walls fall in.鈥欌滵ebbie Hornsby said she and her Hueytown neighbors had 20 trees fall during the severe weather.
