An employee with Little Miami Local Schools in Ohio was recognized this week for saving a student who was choking during lunch.It happened on Monday when the school’s custodian, Denise Day, saw the student choking on a piece of bread.Denise jumped into action and administered the Heimlich maneuver to help the student.Little Miami School Resource Officer Andrew Hayslip presented Denise with the “You've Been Caught Doing a Good Deed" award, which honors people who go above and beyond to make a positive difference for others.“Denise's quick thinking, calm under pressure, and dedication to the students' well-being are testaments to the unsung heroes working in our schools daily. This moment is also a powerful reminder of the importance of teamwork—from the students who sought help to Denise, who responded without hesitation,�� Hamilton Township police said in a post to Facebook.
