FOUR STARTS NOW. THE FIELD FOR THE US SENATE IS GROWING. THANKS FOR JOINING US. I鈥橫 BRITTANY DECKER AND I鈥橫 TRAVIS ROBERTSON. IT APPEARS ALABAMA ATTORNEY GENERAL STEVE MARSHALL WILL BE RUNNING FOR U.S. SENATE. NOW IT COMES AFTER SENATOR TOMMY TUBERVILLE ANNOUNCED HIS BID FOR THE ALABAMA GOVERNOR鈥橲 SEAT. MARSHALL鈥橲 NAME WILL BE ADDED TO THE LIST OF SEVERAL OTHER CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ALREADY MADE IT OFFICIAL THAT THEY WOULD BE COMPETING FOR THE SENATE SEAT. YEAH. NOW, THESE ARE THE CANDIDATES WHO HAVE FORMALLY REGISTERED AND HAVE ACTIVE CAMPAIGN WEBSITES ON THE DEMOCRATIC SIDE, KYLE SWITZER FOR MOBILE, DAKARI LARIAT FROM BIRMINGHAM AND MARK WHEELER, THE SECOND FROM HEFLIN. ON THE REPUBLICAN SIDE, WE HAVE STEVE MARSHALL APPEARS TO BE RUNNING AND JARED HUTSON HAS FORMALLY REGISTERED NOW 米兰体育 13. LISA CRANE SPOKE WITH HUDSON AND MARSHALL TODAY. SHE JOINS US LIVE IN LOCAL RIGHT NOW. LISA, THE PRIMARY IS ABOUT A YEAR AWAY, BUT WE鈥橵E GOT A LONG WAY TO GO. YEAH, WE REALLY DO. AND YOU KNOW, MANY BELIEVE THE GUBERNATORIAL AND THE SENATE RACE ARE GOING TO BE DECIDED IN THE PRIMARY. AND ACTUALLY FOLLOWING PREDICTING THAT THESE RACES WILL FOLLOW THE PATTERN THAT WE鈥橵E SEEN FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW AND BE DECIDED IN THE REPUBLICAN AND GO TO THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE. I SPOKE WITH JARED HUDSON AND STEVE MARSHALL TODAY, AS WELL AS POLITICAL ANALYST MARISSA GRAYSON. STEVE STANDS FOR FREEDOM. THE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT ALABAMA ATTORNEY GENERAL STEVE MARSHALL WOULD RUN FOR THE U.S. SENATE WAS NO SURPRISE TO MOST. HIS YOUTUBE AD HIGHLIGHTS HIS CLOSENESS TO PRESIDENT TRUMP AND THE TRUMP AGENDA. I THINK WHAT ALABAMA IS NEEDING WITH THEIR NEXT SENATOR IS A STRONG, PROVEN LEADER WHO CAN SUPPORT THE AGENDA OF PRESIDENT TRUMP AND REPRESENTS THE VALUES OF THE PEOPLE OF ALABAMA. FOR EIGHT AND A HALF YEARS, I鈥橵E NOW SERVED AS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL. THEY鈥橵E SEEN US TAKE ON TOUGH BATTLES AND BE SUCCESSFUL. AND I THINK THAT鈥橲 WHAT THEY鈥橰E LOOKING FOR FROM THE NEXT SENATOR. FORMER NAVY SEAL JARED HUDSON SAYS IT TOOK A LOT OF PRAYER AND CONVERSATIONS WITH HIS WIFE AND ADVISERS BEFORE DECIDING TO RUN FOR U.S. SENATE. HE LEADS A NATIONAL NONPROFIT THAT COMBATS HUMAN TRAFFICKING. HIS ONLY POLITICAL INVOLVEMENT SO FAR HAS BEEN A RUN FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY SHERIFF. IN 2022, HE SAYS THE FACT THAT HE鈥橲 NOT A CAREER POLITICIAN IS WHAT MAKES HIM THE BEST CHOICE TO FILL. TOMMY TUBERVILLE SEAT. I鈥橫 ASKING YOU TO SEND A REAL WARRIOR TO WASHINGTON. UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA POLITICAL SCIENCE PROFESSOR MARISSA GRAYSON SAYS WE鈥橪L SEE SEVERAL MORE REPUBLICANS ENTERING THE RACE OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS. BUT SHE FEELS AT THIS POINT, STEVE MARSHALL HAS THE ADVANTAGE. PRIMARY ELECTIONS. THE PEOPLE WHO TEND TO SHOW UP ARE THE PEOPLE WHO ARE VERY, YOU KNOW, TIED TO THE PARTY. PAY ATTENTION TO POLITICS. The field for the U.S. Senate is growing. It appears Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall will be running for Sen. Tommy Tuberville鈥檚 seat after he announced his bid for Alabama鈥檚 governor's seat. Marshall's name is added to the list of several other candidates who have already made it official. On the Democratic ticket: Kyle Sweetser from Mobile, Dakarai Larriett from Birmingham, and Mark Wheeler II from Heflin. He leads a national nonprofit that combats human trafficking. His only political involvement was a run for Jefferson County Sheriff in 2022. Work with law enforcement, worked as a law enforcement officer stateside, going out to protect the people in the community that we live in.鈥漊niversity of Alabama Political Science Professor Marissa Grayson said we'll see several more Republicans entering the race over the next few months, but she feels, at this point, Steve Marshall has the advantage.She said, 鈥淧rimary elections, the people who tend to show up are the people who are very, you know, tied to the party, pay attention to politics. Many believe the gubernatorial and Senate races will be decided in the primary, predicting these races will follow what we've seen for many years and go to the Republican candidate. Steve Marshall鈥檚 announcement on Thursday did not come as a surprise to political analysts. His YouTube ad highlights his closeness to President Trump and the Trump agenda.

Marshall said, 鈥淚 think what Alabama鈥檚 needing with their next senator is a strong, proven leader who can support the agenda of President Trump and represents the values of the people of Alabama.
