Lisa Crane is thrilled to be back home in Alabama. She grew up in Gardendale and attended the University of Alabama. She even worked at �������� 13 as an Associate Producer and Weekend Reporter while still in college. But soon after graduating, she left the South for the great Northwest.

Lisa spent more than a decade anchoring the news in Washington, Missouri and Atlanta. Lisa says it was her son, Cruz, who made her long for home.

"As soon as my husband and I decided to start a family I knew I wanted to be near my family again. My son was only two days old when we moved back to the Birmingham area."

Lisa is an Emmy award-winning journalist and through her years in the industry has traveled the world covering some amazing stories.

"The reports I'm most proud of came out of the time I spent in Iraq just north of Baghdad. Meeting our country's heroes and seeing how committed they were to their jobs but still really missed their home and loved ones gave me a new appreciation for the military."

Lisa has also flown with the Blue Angels and the Hurricane Hunters through the eye of a hurricane, bungee jumped and gone sky diving all for a good story. Now though she's traded in her motorcycle for a stroller and is happy to be doing the job she loves in her hometown. In her free time Lisa enjoys carpentry, home renovation and horseback riding. She lives in Gardendale with her husband and son.
