Scott Carpenter joined �������� 13 in April of 2024 as a news anchor.   

Before coming to Birmingham, he helped viewers navigate the morning commute as a traffic anchor and reporter for our sister station, KCCI, in Des Moines, Iowa. He also worked as a sports director in Columbus, Georgia.    

Scott has covered everything from SEC football to investigative reports to heartwarming "This is Iowa" stories.   

Scott graduated from Heidelberg University and grew up in Westerville, Ohio - just outside of Columbus.
