'Take large leaps': Lulu Gribbin shares her inspiring journey months after surviving shark attack
LEWELLEN, 米兰体育 13. IF YOU ASKED ME A YEAR AGO TODAY THAT I WOULD HAVE ALL THESE CAMERAS IN FRONT OF ME, I WOULD LIKE I WOULD THINK THAT THIS IS OUT OF A BOOK OR IN A MOVIE. YEAH. 16 YEAR OLD LULU GRIBBINS SPEAKING PUBLICLY FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE HER LIFE CHANGING SHARK ATTACK. TODAY I WAS AT THE MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK CLUB NEXT LEVEL IMPACT LUNCHEON AS SHE BRAVELY SHARED HER STORY. AND I鈥橫 GRATEFUL THAT I AM STILL ALIVE AND BREATHING. SO REALLY JUST I MADE IT. SHE WAS A TEENAGER FACING THE UNIMAGINABLE. BUT TODAY, 16 YEAR OLD LULU GRIBBIN STANDS AS A SYMBOL OF COURAGE, DETERMINATION AND THE POWER OF NEVER GIVING UP. ANYTHING CAN CHANGE IN THE FLASH AND IN AN INSTANT. SO YOU REALLY JUST HAVE TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST AND TO JUST TAKE EACH NOT JUST A SMALL STEP, BUT TO TAKE LARGE LEAPS, LEAPS AND BOUNDS. IT鈥橲 HARD TO GRASP JUST HOW FAR LULU HAS COME SINCE THAT LIFE ALTERING MOMENT NINE MONTHS AGO. TOMORROW. THE MOUNTAIN BROOK NATIVE WAS THE VICTIM OF A BRUTAL SHARK ATTACK IN WALTON COUNTY, FLORIDA. AND SHE鈥橲 NOT JUST SURVIVING, SHE鈥橲 THRIVING, CRUSHED. AND WITH EVERY NEW MILESTONE, SHE鈥橲 INSPIRING OTHERS, PROVING THAT STRENGTH KNOWS NO LIMITS. EVERY DAY I WAKE UP READY TO CONQUER THE DAY. AND JUST TO KEEP GETTING BETTER. BY HER SIDE THROUGH EVERY STEP OF HER JOURNEY. ARE HER FRIENDS AND TWIN SISTER, THE VERY ONES WHO WERE WITH HER IN THE WATER THAT DAY. THEY ARE THE REASON I GET UP EACH DAY WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TO CONQUER THE DAY, TO JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER. WE WERE BEST FRIENDS BEFORE, BUT BECAUSE OF THIS, I THINK WE鈥橵E JUST BEEN ABLE TO COME TOGETHER EVEN MORE SO I CAN TURN IN CIRCLES AND I CAN CLOSE IT AND OPEN IT. LULU HAS TRANSFORMED HER PERSONAL TRAGEDY INTO A MISSION FOR OTHERS THROUGH HER NEW FOUNDATION, LULU STRONG. THE FOUNDATION鈥橲 GOAL IS TO TURN GROUNDBREAKING PROSTHETIC TECHNOLOGIES INTO LIFE CHANGING REALITIES FOR AMPUTEES. THROUGH THIS WHOLE PROCESS, WE鈥橵E LEARNED JUST HOW HARD IT IS TO GET PROSTHETICS AND HOW RIGOROUS THE PROCESS IS. SO WE WANT TO MAKE THAT PROCESS EASIER AND FASTER. FOR OTHER AMPUTEES. NOW, THERE鈥橲 NOTHING STOPPING THE 16 YEAR OLD FROM DRIVING FORWARD. I JUST GOT MY DRIVER鈥橲 LICENSE AND HER MESSAGE REMAINS CLEAR. WHERE THERE鈥橲 A STORM, THERE鈥橲 ALWAYS A RAINBOW. I CAN LISTEN TO HER TALK FOREVER. LULU HAS REALLY STOLEN THE HEARTS OF PEOPLE HERE IN ALABAMA AND ALL AROUND THE WORLD. IF YOU WANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HER FO
